Air Quality Monitoring and Modelling

The general aim of this special issue is to present results from field measurements of air constituents at urban sites, satellite observations of aerosols and trace gases over regional scales including numerical and statistical model evaluation of these measurements. We eagerly look to learn as much as possible from these measurements across the globe.

Authors are encouraged to submit contributions that describe original research results of studies conducted by field study, satellite derived aerosols and trace gases product for estimation and forecasting of PM2.5, PM10, Ozone, NO2 etc at the surface. Topics will include (but are not limited to): regional trends of air quality parameters, air quality index, comfort index, dataassimilation for air quality and regional atmospheric models, transport of aerosols, role of biomass burning and dust aerosols in local air quality with a emphasis on local, synoptic, global meteorology. The focus will also stand for the health and ecological impact assessments driven by air pollution data.

Please contact us by 30th June 2017 by replying to this message if you are planning to contribute and propose a tentative title for your article. The full manuscript submissions are welcome until 31stAugust 2017.
